Temporary Prosthesis

Two to four days following placement of the implants, a temporary bridge (full set of teeth) will be securely fixed to the implants and will be worn for approximately 3-6 months. During this time, the implants become bonded to the bone. The temporary bridge, made of metal reinforced plastic, allows any changes to be made to ensure the patient is completely happy with the appearance before the final bridge is made. After the final bridge is fitted, the temporary bridge is retained for future use in the event that the permanent bridge needs to be removed for repair.
